The Nagasaki Shine Shishimai (Lion Dance) Festival has been expelling evil and bringing in good luck and prosperity for the Nagasaki region of Toshima ward in Tokyo for over 300 years since the Edo Period and was designated as an intangible folk-cultural asset of Toshima ward in 1992.

Getting the SurfSkate Clip

 When I go surfskate I'm stoked if I can get one photo, a clip, or if I'm lucky, a good video edit. This past weekend I got all three. My intention for this session was to get one mid-carve frame grab, so I set my GoPro Hero 5 Black to 960p/120fps (960 because it's close to a square composition, and 120 frames per second to get a crisp -- as crisp as I can get with a 960p resolution -- freeze frame of the fast moving action and smooth slow motion too.) Luckily, I got my photo, a couple fun clips (posted on my instagram, and a fun full edit of the session. Enjoy!
