Took my 5'8" handshaped diamond tail by Everyday Surfboards by Kelly Connolly out to get a few waves before sunset. No wind, empty lineup, and spectacular colors. Got way better waves around the same time the previous day but this dumb-dumb forgot to put the microSD card back into my GoPro. Amateur mistake. Oh well.

Five Day Art Challene: Day 2 - Light Graffiti
Day 2: Light Graffiti
Generally, to get these long exposure shots, the camera stays stationary and the subject moves a light source. This is the opposite: the light source -- lamp posts along Ocean View Boulevard near the Monterey Bay Aquarium -- stayed stationary, and the camera did all the moving. To write letters, I basically had to air-spell the mirror image version of each letter with my camera. (If you haven't figured it out, it says LOU.) Not bad for my first ever long exposure light drawing photo.

Birthday Wave
Had a great post-work surf, captured a great backlit wave screenshot, cooked a perfect filet mignon for dinner, and spent the night replying to all the wonderful bday messages. Great birthday.
